Build me a city on a low dune
2016
Scroll

A scroll piece made in collaboration with Tandem Felix Letterpress on-residency in Chicago. The texts explore pertinent historical geographies of the city looking at the landscape before the city was established and personal memories of changes over recent decades. Technically, each text was set on a turtle (see final image) using magnets, inked with a brayer and then burnished by hand.

The piece was installed for one night at the Lacuna Artist Lofts complex in the Pilsen area of the city. It is available for future exhibition - contact me if you have a proposal.
